I have met a few bloggers in person before; Saffa, Lan Diloz, Jem and I'm glad we're still keeping in touch. Oh wait, I don't count Lisa Farhana as my blogger friend cus we've been friends since we were kids.
So recently I got to meet Kamal Effendi in person for the first time after 4 years of being virtual friends. As written in Kamal Effendi's blog entry, there was no drama and everything went well that day but for me, there was a little drama. I was already dressed and had gotten ready early, but no one was there to send me to the LRT station. We've agreed to meet at 12, I had to wait for my brother to send me and when I reached there, I was 14 minutes late.
Guilty Level: Maximus

A lot of Indian tourists and too many crowds during the weekend, most of the guys were wearing glasses so it took me a while to scan his face. Meeting someone for the first time can be nerve-racking. We met somewhere nearby, I apologized for getting there late and we headed to Nando's for lunch. He was how he described in the text message. Of course, minus the ugly, dark and short part. He looks the same in every picture he takes, I don't know if I look the same in pictures as I do in person because girls tend to look different in pictures. Camera angle plays an important role sometimes.
We both tried Nando's new menu, ahh it was okay not like how it was promoted by the waiter zzz. Bumped into Lisa Farhana, was hoping to see Saffa and Jem as well but Lisa was out with her friends. We must hangout before I go back to China okayyy! So back to Kamal, we spent our lunch time talking about ourselves. I got distracted in our conversations when the Nando's staffs kept on welcoming every customer that stepped into the restaurant. Semak kepala terus rasa nak keluar lepas habis makan.

We went window shopping after lunch, my money and I didn't get along this time. Kamal did some shopping for himself and nope it's not awkward at all. I didn't take a lot of photos because I got camera shy. Lol after all, we have just met.
After prayers, we went to Kinokuniya for an obligatory visit. I was looking for some books by John Green. I been meaning to read The Fault in Our Stars and I instantly remember that Aca recommended me Looking for Alaska back in year 2008 but I forgot to read it last time. I was too caught up with the Twilight series. Lol zaman fangirling Edward Cullen from the books, it has become overrated after the first film was released.
We went to one of the book sections, and came across The Perks of Being A Wallflower and I got excited cus I've already read it and I feel like reading it again and I was telling Kamal how awesome the book is, when suddenly, "Shhhhh!". There was an old lady, sitting at the corner of the bookshelf quietly reading a book. Dia shh kitorang ni macam halau kucing yang nak curi ikan. By right, she shouldn't have done that because Kinokuniya is not a freaking library, it's a bookstore. If it's a library then I would have understood the shh part. I wouldn't make too much noise in the first place.

Next, coffee break! We had a random conversation and I found out that he actually wanted to be a doctor! I personally think he has his own way of thinking and style. He's a pretty friendly guy, he has the same character when in real life and online. I'm glad I wasn't socially awkward and my social skills were okay. I just hope my talking didn't annoy him.
He got me souvenirs from Australia and New Zealand. They are so cute! When I reached home I didn't even have a chance to keep it in a box, my baby brother Reza already threw the boomerang and with his poker face he asked me why it's not coming back. Krik krik krik.

Overall I had a good time. Thanks for keeping this virtual friendship alive and transform it into real life. May our friendship continue to grow!
